Delivered at Place (DAP) :

What does this term stand for?

Delivered at Place (DAP) is an Incoterms® 2020 rule that establishes a delivery agreement where the seller bears all risks and costs associated with transporting goods to a named place of destination, making them available to the buyer ready for unloading. Under DAP terms, the seller fulfills its delivery obligation when the goods are placed at the buyer’s disposal on the arriving means of transport at the specified destination point. The buyer assumes responsibility for unloading the goods and completing import customs clearance, including payment of all duties, taxes, and related charges. This Incoterm is applicable to all modes of transport—including air, sea, rail, road, and multimodal shipments—making it one of the most versatile delivery terms in international trade.
