Biography
Pooja is the Managing Director of Bothra Group, a position he has held since 1995. Under his visionary leadership, the company has evolved from a regional shipping provider into a globally recognized logistics and energy solutions firm, operating across four continents with strategic partnerships in over 40 countries.
With over three decades of experience in maritime logistics and energy trading, Ashit has been instrumental in navigating the company through industry transformations, including the digitization of supply chains, the rise of LNG markets, and the increasing demand for sustainable shipping practices. His strategic foresight has positioned Bothra Group as a leader in both traditional port operations and emerging renewable energy logistics.
Prior to leading Bothra Group, Ashit spent the early years of his career at major shipping corporations in Singapore and Rotterdam, where he gained deep expertise in international customs compliance, terminal management, and cross-border energy transportation. This global exposure shaped his understanding of the complexities inherent in modern logistics networks.
Ashit holds an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering. He is a frequent speaker at global logistics conferences and serves on the advisory boards of several maritime industry associations, including the International Chamber of Shipping and the Asian Logistics Council.
“In logistics, the future belongs to those who can balance speed with sustainability, innovation with reliability. Our role is not just to move cargo—it’s to power economies, enable trade, and do so responsibly for generations to come.”
